Very well written, style is quite a bit like his dad, great descriptions of the mundane as well as the unreal. While ghosts/supernatural don't scare me, this book kept my interest throughout, lots of action, twists and turns. ...more

I had no idea until 15 min ago that the author is Stephen King's son...... I am not a huge King fan. I don't particularly like sci-fi or unbelievable stories.

I started this book and finished it in less than 8 hours. The premise of buying a ghost on an ebay knock off website isn't that far fetched if you have ever perused ebay and seen some of the things that are actually sold and bought there.

This book captured me in less than 20 pages. It was fast paced, and kept me intrigued throughout the boo

I really enjoyed this book. It represented the true modern-day horror tale, which I found to be particuarly interesting after just having read the classic Dracula. The book is about a man who buys a ghost over the Internet, but as usual, there is so much more to the story than a simple haunting that takes place. Filled with twists and turns, this book held my attention throughout and really scared the crap out of on more than one occassion. I don't scare easily either, which really surprised me. ...more

I almost never read horror, but neither does the person who lent this to me with a glowing recommendation, so I figured I'd gamble. Surprisingly, I really enjoyed it - it's gory and violent, sure, but the characters navigate the process of understanding what's happening to them in a much more believable way than most speculative fiction. The characters themselves could benefit from more depth, but overall it's an enjoyable debut. ...more

Thank you for the Voice Behind the Locs for the reading. I have to admit though, that even though it's ASMR and could be listened to at bedtime, I didn't, as I was scared that I would have unwelcome vivid dreams. I made the mistake of falling asleep to it once, I dreamt that I was lost in a scary neighborhood. Never again.
Speaking of vivid dreams and feeling lost, I recently viewed the music video of the Nirvana song which inspired the title. Unlike the song, the novel is much more straight for

I didn't really like this book. I like a good horror story but I thought this was cheesy and very predictable. There's also not a ton of character development even though the attempt is there. ...more

Creepy, atmospheric, and a real page-turner. Yet another Stephen King child who writes better than his father does. Can't wait to dig into Hill's book of short stories. ...more
