Okay. This is just the craziest pile of batshit crazy crazy I've ever laid eyes on. I don't even know how to describe it. The characters (especially Nora) are all a bunch of crazy, they make crazy stupid decisions on top of crazy on top of stupid, and then other people make crazy stupid suggestions, and they are all running around in circles that contain ZERO logic. It was, just, I have no words.

At first I was going to give this 2 stars, just for having the audacity to write and publish so much Okay. This is just the craziest pile of batshit crazy crazy I've ever laid eyes on. And the craziest thing, the really really craziest thing? I KEPT READING. WTF is up with THAT? I don't know. It's not that I cared how it ended up or I couldn't wait to find out - because, trust me, if you're not braindead, you'll know what's going on LONG before Nora figures it out. I just couldn't believe how it kept piling on. This text, it makes no sense! But more keeps coming! I just abandoned any hope of logic and carried on, waiting to see where this was all going. Was it possible that it would all make sense in the end? (spoiler: (view spoiler))

Nora Grey was truly TSTL. She made a series of insane decisions, based on even more insane conclusions, based on some seriously irrational deliberations. It. Just. Made. No. Sense. Even within one paragraph, her gibbering would come full circle and start to eat itself.

Vee, on the other hand, managed to be fairly entertaining. A few of her lines actually made me laugh. She reminded me a LITTLE too much of Lula from Janet Evanovich's number mysteries with Stephanie Plum, what with her insistence that eating is always the answer.

And Patch, he still has the nice bad boy smirk going on. He wasn't really in this book enough. Because this was all about Nora breaking up with him for batshit crazy reasons, and then crying about it, and then refusing to listen to him when he tries to explain himself, and then crying about it some more, because, I don't know, because he didn't try harder maybe. Really, it didn't make sense. Because she is TSTL.

At this point, I have NO idea if I'll carry on with the series. I mean, this WAS reasonably entertaining. In that way that watching a gibbering idiot can be entertaining. It was reasonably painless. It was non-taxing. (Don't even bother to try to make sense of it - once I abandoned all hope, it was easy to keep forging ahead.)

Despite all the crazy, I still really like Patch. So I guess that's why I'm reading. It's Patch. I might keep reading just to finding out where Fitzpatrick takes him next.

Also, can I just say how annoying and COMPLETELY CONFUSING it is that Patch's nickname for Nora is "Angel"?????? ...more

This book was kind of lame. The plot was almost exactly the same as Hush, Hush. The person who annoyed me most (other than Nora, jumping into every danger, and being alone all the time), was her friend. I mean come on! She is such a ditz it is ridiculous. She is so quick to convince Nora to get into terrible situations. Meh. I know I will read the rest of the books, just because there are a couple of secrets left. ...more
