I really enjoyed this book. It's about a town that shut itself in during the flu outbreak in 1918. The book is primarily made up of a series of moral choices, but WWI provides a very good backdrop and subplot to this drama. Plus, it is true that we rarely hear of this pandemic so it was nice to learn more about it in a fictional context.

I must warn you that this story is a major downer, and at times, I had to put it down, because of that. Nevertheless, the plot moves quickly with numerous twists

This was our monthly bookclub selection - fascinating story based on real-life event where town quarantined itself based on fear of spanish flu during WWI.
