I first read this book when I was in high school, back when dinosaurs walked the earth, people still thought digital watches were a pretty cool idea, and mobile phones were the size of a suitcase.
I enjoyed it at least as much this time. Humor is subjective, and I still find it bloody hilarious! If you don't enjoy Monty Python-esque British humor it may not be your cup of Earl Grey, but it still works for me! Arthur Dent is having a bad day when he discovers his house is set to be demolished for an overpass. A fun read that Doctor Who fans will especially enjoy.

The book's writing style is amusing enough to maintain interest in finishing it, but i found it difficult to find any real attachment to any of the characters; the plot seemed too fast paced and the ending was extremely abrupt! I get that the world being painted is quite far fetched and i admire the author's humorous style in drawing anologies to the real normal world, but i just couldnt keep up with the pace, and lost interest towards the end when i found myself rushing through it - luckily it

I listened to the audiobook several years ago and enjoyed it. I actually listened to the opening chapter multiple times and made others listen to portions of it as well, one of the funniest openings I've read/heard.
