I read aloud the full-color collector's edition of Little House in the Big Woods to my daughter Georgia, this summer. While reading this book, I realized that the Big Woods was close to our house and after a little internet research we decided to embark on a Little House tour this summer.

This is a favorite classic of mine! I have read it over and over and over. I never get bored with reading Laura Ingalls Wilder's books.
What is great about this book (and the whole series) is that it can appeal to both girls and boys, old and young.
I think all children should read this series. I highly recommend it! ...more
