This book is average. What starts out as interesting premise about a man trying to save his racist grandfather from the chair gets overly sentimental instead of providing real insight into either one of the main characters. This book was written during Grisham's "let's crank a book out every year whether it's good or not" period, and unfortunately, the reader can tell that it was a rush job. ...more
