I'd only read one other Picoult book, A Perfect Match, prior to this one, and I couldn't get into it. So when this book was chosen for my book club, I was dreading reading it. But, to my surprise, I couldn't put it down. While the writing itself wasn't anything particularly extraordinary, I found myself identifying with a couple of the main characters (both Josie and Peter, in different ways). Although I swore that I would never read Picoult again, I couldn't help myself because of the issue that is the premise of her latest novel. She is a very portent person to the story, but I think Picoult doesn't do a very good job explaining her motiva

It took me awhile to get through this book because it was so intense and there were so many emotions invovled. I'm amazed at how Jodi was able to put so many issues in this one book without it feeling cluttered or like it was too much. Great book overall. ...more

This book got a lot of hype, but it wasn't very good in my opinion. The characters were all vague... I had no emotional connection with any of them. It deals with an intense topic, yet I feel Picoult failed with this book. Once again, my opinion. ...more
