In the beginning, I kept falling asleep while reading this book. By the time Dor was compelled to action for his two souls, I was able to push through to the conclusion of the book. I found it satisfying as it reinforces the importance of being in the moment and being grateful for those moments, whether they are good or bad. It reinforces the value of being interdependent with those we love and care about, that we need to be open and honest and fully present for them.

4.5/5 stars Wow, this was not what I had expected. I was expecting a typical time travel story (something like The Time Traveler's Wife) but what I got was a unique story that looks deeply into humanities understanding and handling of time. This is a short novel yet Albom is able to take us through thousands of years (from early hunter-gatherer society to modern times).

Yesterday I fancied telling you about the small and precious book that I read, but having finished it, I won't say it. If you're a junkie of everything that concerns the concept time (theory of relativity, ageing, young love, meaning of childhood, serenity of a slow time, etc. etc.) like I am, then by all means, read it. Here is a short video interview with the author, shot at the Times Square, of all places: http://abcnews.go.com/GMA/video/mitch...

Mitch Albom always had a way to make the readers think. This time, he used a mythical figure, a legend of Father Time, and retold the story in such a beautiful way. I loved how he described the way time was invented in a very touching story, and combined it with two different stories from modern times. The only complaint I have is about the climax near the end of the book - a bit Disney's fairy tale for my taste =) anyway, a very good read to remind us why does God give us a limit time in the wo

I liked this book and its message about not wasting our lives worrying about time passing and losing enjoyment in the moment. I gave it three stars because I didn't think it was quite as good as his other ones, even though it was still enjoyable.
