I loved this book! It's like a cross between My Antonia and Gone With the Wind. Great for discussion of themes including: love, marriage, women, georgics, entrepreneurship, dealing with hardships or tragedy, death, healing, working the land, self-defense, mission in life, motherhood, friendship, and family. This is a very healing book and worth reading again. ...more
