I love relaxing with a Phyrne Fisher detective story on a lazy summer's day. She's a gorgeous character.. a smart, independent, beautiful young woman, always dressed in the most glamorous fashion, with a sprawling house on St Kilda Esplanade and a handsome Chinese lover. An amateur sleuth, she investigates tricky criminal cases in late 1920s Melbourne. I can just see Rose Byrne as Phryne in a movie adaptation!
