I just love this series, particularly the early ones which are lighter and less dark than the later ones. Kinsey is a great character. She's a little bit of badass mixed with a strong, independent, smart woman. The audiobooks are terrific, particularly the early ones read by Mary Pfeiffer. They're easily found on overdrive which works great during covid 19 days and I smile quite a lot while listening. Moving right on to the third book. 😀 ...more

Once again I'm so pleased to have found this author. This time Kinsey Millhone is one the trail of a missing woman. She's still a little stunned by book A in which she shot someone. Meanhwhile there appears to be a crazy woman taking over the life of the missing woman and as usual Ms Grafton rights a VERY thrilling ending. There's a new man floating around but he has an ex-wife, 2 kids and a lot of divorce hang-ups and the awkward friendship between Kinsey and this police officer seems real and ...more

I suppose I've ignored Grafton for so long because she's gotten to be so popular, but thankfully my current taste for PI fiction has spurred me to get over myself a little bit and check out Kinsey. While the ending in this one is somewhat rushed, overall it's enough to keep me moving through her alphabet. ...more
