I just love this series, particularly the early ones which are lighter and less dark than the later ones. Kinsey is a great character. She's a little bit of badass mixed with a strong, independent, smart woman. The audiobooks are terrific, particularly the early ones read by Mary Pfeiffer. They're easily found on overdrive which works great during covid 19 days and I smile quite a lot while listening. Moving right on to the third book. 😀

This is a re-read. Amazon was offering Grafton's first 15 books in her alphabet series 1.99 per book. Great for summer reading.

Once again I'm so pleased to have found this author. This time Kinsey Millhone is one the trail of a missing woman. She's still a little stunned by book A in which she shot someone. Meanhwhile there appears to be a crazy woman taking over the life of the missing woman and as usual Ms Grafton rights a VERY thrilling ending. There's a new man floating around but he has an ex-wife, 2 kids and a lot of divorce hang-ups and the awkward friendship between Kinsey and this police officer seems real and

I suppose I've ignored Grafton for so long because she's gotten to be so popular, but thankfully my current taste for PI fiction has spurred me to get over myself a little bit and check out Kinsey. While the ending in this one is somewhat rushed, overall it's enough to keep me moving through her alphabet.
