I'm kind of hesitant to put any number of stars. there should be a warning on the cover that this should not be read on public transportation. i have questions about the value of such a book, how it fits in with surrealism or Nietzsche, if it does, and what sort of artifact it is, exactly, as it doesn't really seem to be a novel. ...more

Shelves: own-pre-konmari, french, novella

Two stars because I thought I was going to VOMIT and for the dead priest's eyeball ROLLING BETWEEN TWO NAVELS that's probably scarred in the back of my mind so that when I'm bored and spacing out, the images will probably come to me involuntarily : shudders : a bull's sliced testicle inserted in a vagina, an eyeball inserted in a vagina, seeing a dead girl's blue eye IN the eyeball that is IN the vagina.

BUT I am impressed by Georges Bataille for writing this piss and blood death erotic shit.
