4.5 stars. Only because the beginning was a tad slow. First, I want to thank my daughter Ashley for checking this book out of the library on her Christmas break from school and reading it, and then making a deal with me in which my part of the deal was to read this book! I loved it.

It is nice to know that the stories I've heard in the Bible are true. I know it sounds silly to say that, but sometimes you wonder if Biblical stories are literal or figurative. Like describing the pearly gates of he

I liked this book and read it in one sitting ( it's only 150 pages). I was touched by a lot of it. It is a powerful experience this family had. My only questions really involve the fact that this boys dad is a pastor and he seemed to get every answer about heaven he wanted from his son. I'm human and I have a hard time believing everything. I am skeptical and I question things like everyone does. I think it's a book worth reading and everyone can take what they want from it. I question interpret ...more

So earlier this year there was all sorts of buzz in my favourite Goodreads bookclub with several members reading this book and recommending it to the rest of us so I naturally jumped at the chance to review it.

This was sweet and refreshing. But, I did not particularly enjoy the way in which it was written.

I enjoyed the descriptions of heaven and how time has no meaning. Many of the descriptions match my idea of heaven.

Cheesy inspirational story. Lame writing, as is often expected, but kind of interesting.

Only read it because it happened to be laying around in the condo we rented for a week. Perhaps it only appeals to a certain market? For me, it was not good.
