I had heard a lot of good things about this series and I am happy to say that it lived up to the hype. And I really enjoyed this, but I didn't love it. I did get more than a few Sookie Stackhouse vibes while I was reading this. The whole vamps exist revelation? Vamps mainstreaming? It did echo more than slightly of SS. Overall, I enjoyed the book a lot - more than I thought I would. Merit annoys me, so I thought it might be hard to get into, but I ended up reading most of the book in one sitting. I gave both this one and the first,
