Four different novellas:
I have already watched the film adaptations of two of these, so I feel it is a bit challenging to rate.
Rita Hayworth & Shawshank Redemption - 3 stars, I love the movie version of this
Apt Pupil - 4 stars. I have never seen the movie (and probably won't!), this was definitely the most scary tale in this collection
The Body - 3 stars. Love the film "Stand By Me," and this follows almost exactly
The Breathing Method - 3 stars, but not as strong as the other 3 novellas ...more

The story of two prisoners in jail for life and ultimately a story of hope. Definitely the best story of the group.
Apt Pupil - 3 stars
A 13 year old discovers a Nazi living in disguise in his neighborhood. Instead of turning him in the boy starts grilling the Nazi for details of all the atrocities he committed. A creepy relationship ensues. The writing is great but the story was really disturbing.
