Solid 4.5 stars. Great book, beautifully written, a little predictable in parts, which loses 1/2 star. Great characters and setting, all very true-to-life, and even though the book is pretty short, you will feel so attached to the characters by the middle of the book that they'll be very hard to walk away from at the end. Terrific book to read with a group of women, lots of strong female characters, just a great book. I'm so glad I had the chance to experience this.

I liked this book a lot. I really wanted to love it but for me it ever so slightly wasn't quite as much of an amazing experience as I would have hoped. Maybe if I had read it before I read 'The Help' I would not have felt this way, but having been spoiled by the utter perfection of that book I just wasn't finding this one as magical or transcendent as I thought I would.

Read it early this year and thought it to be unique and a good story. A little girl finds herself among a group of African-American women beekeepers. Great, poignant story.
I loved this one. The story keeps moving while characters have enough depth that you believe that you know and love them.
Absolutely wonderful book! I must read it again soon.
