I'm reading this series in order, and I have to say, this one is the best by far. The scenarios where Dr. Brennan goes off half-cocked into some ridiculously dangerous situation by herself without telling anyone were cut down to a minimum, which was a good thing. Plus the forensic anthropology is always fascinating to me. However, not something to read while you're eating. For example, this bit of dialogue:
"I also found that all fatty acid values are highest just after maggot migration."

I find this one to be so wildly improbable plot-wise that I couldn't help but snicker while reading it. Yeesh.
