What Members Thought

Fascinating account that gives insight into the Jewish Hasidic world. What a strange & twisted & sad world overall it is; so much legalism & law & lifelessness wrapped up in lives that have missed The Messiah, the Jew from Galilee who came 2,000+ years ago in the historical person of the Lord Jesus Christ. (Yeshua--"the One who Saves"). Very well-written & engaging account of one who slowly extracted herself from this ancient world stuck in the middle of modern New York City.

I devoured this book. I love learning about different cultures and different ways of living and this book was so good. I learned so much from this memoir. I then watched the Netflix series based on the book, which is very different from the book. Both were good. Read the book for sure!!!
