After reading this book I've come to the following conclusion: When people say that they only have time for movies, not books, they need to read a different type of book.
Sex in the City (the book) took me about 2.5 hours to read, the same time as a longish movie and I learned about as much as I do from a chick flick. It's rather obvious when you think about it. I could picture the tv episode that came from each chapter of this book, but the book is very different from the tv series. I was disappointed not to have Carrie, Miranda, Samantha and Charlotte as the central gal pal characters in the book. I still found the book oddly fascinating and a very quick read.
