I am surprised at the intensity of the reviews on this book - both positive and negative. I love this novel - but as a novel. The characters of Dominique, Roark, Wynand, Toohey and Keating are wonderful characters. I do not think it is necessary to believe in all Ayn Rands philosophies to love the book, and like so many others I read it first when I was a teenager and adored it then.
