Oh I see you, King, and your not-so-clever allusions to The Shining. This book was full of King's indulgence, of babbling nonsense about characters we hate ruining their lives (and the lives of others) unintentionally for pages...and pages...and pages...
This book is like an unintelligeable echo of The Shining. Not my favorite of his works, but certainly a trope worth knowing. Also, way to end the book King, Jesus. ...more

Cujo is a St. Bernard belonging to the Camber family. The Trenton family uses Joe Cambers auto shop because it's cheap even though it's located far from town. Cujo gets rabies and things begin going bad for both families. I found that it took forever for this story to get going and I didn't care about at least half of the characters. I also didn't find it overly scary. Not one of King's best efforts. ...more
