The title intrigued me, and apparently the story is pretty good. This is fantasy before Harry Potter, very simple and unpretentious, enjoyable with decent storyline. I quite like Uncle Jonathan and Miss Zimmerman, and Lewis as the unlikely hero is also nice. There's nothing very remarkable in the book - bad witch, mysterious clock, end of the world plan, and magic - but I think the charm is because this book brings back memories of your childhood.
