This was a good book about friendship. As an added plus, there are some really good cookie recipes as well!
This book made for a delightful "Christmas in July" read. I figured I would enjoy the book as I love 'girlfriend stories,' and liked it even more than I thought I would. There was some depth to the women's stories which I hadn't expected.
I liked the novelty of the book's set-up and loved the cookie recipes at the beginning of each chapter. I also found the history of the baking ingredients (i.e. flour, nuts, sugar, dates) at the end of each chapter. ...more
