A 30 something woman is in an accident which has damaged part of the right side of her brain. Things that occur on her left side are no longer properly processed. The condition is known as left neglected. How she learns to cope with her disability and how her family reacts form the basis of the narrative.

This is a fantastic book! I was intrigued right from the start. I really liked the main characters. This book gives me a lot of compassion for the neurological problem of Left Neglect, where the body can see and move, but the right brain injury makes it ignore the left side. Ever have many balls in the air?
Work, kids, hobbies, and a marriage.
Then imagine having all of those balls drop because of an accident.
Having gone through an accident, I felt an immediate connection to her loss of freedom in recovery. Both her story and mine show that sometimes you need to slow down or even completely stop to reevaluate your path and find happiness. This new look on life of one wife, mother, and professional is a MUST READ. It really hit home!
