I’ve gone back and forth with whether or not to read this book since it was first published in 2010. So, when it was offered as a $4.95 download in an Audible audio book sale, I decided to give it a try.
Abraham Lincoln, Vampire Hunter is a solid blend of history and fantasy. Seth Grahame-Smith interweaved the two so well that it is hard to tell what is real history and what is from his imagine (well, vampire hunting aside, that is). As a history buff, I always love when historical ...more

In the two years since i started borrowing library books again, this is the first novel I've read that has made me want to go out and buy myself a copy to keep. A wonderful story, can't wait to see what happens when it's turned into a film next year.

I actually liked this book. Surprise. I didn't think I would but it was a fun tale to embark on. I can see this wouldn't be in everyone's tastes - but I had fun reading it. Makes me want to learn more about Abe and Mary Lincoln's histories.

I didn't expect that I would enjoy this book!! I always love Abe Lincoln and despite every crazy thing the author wrote about him in this book, I love him even more! Vampires were the cause of the Civil War? Abe Lincoln was one of the best hunters of all? Crazy, absurd, but interestingly, really convincing! Entertaining, enjoyable. A pure delight for any fantasy/historical fiction enthusiast.

Well, I didn't finish this one--just didn't get into it, though I liked the historical part--I may have to read a Lincoln biography!
