Margaret and Steve Frawley's three year old twin girls are kidnapped. The kidnappers ask for a large ransom though the Frawley's are not rich. The book jacket gives away a lot more of the plot which I don't like. I'd rate this book in the mid range of Clark's work. Not as good as her early books but much better than the last two books of hers I read which were published more recently.
