This is a love story: the love story of Steve Jobs and Apple.

I say that because that really is the primary thread of this biography. If you don't like reading about technology, you will struggle in parts. If you do, then it is a fascinating, albeit long, read. Indeed, for the last few nights I would end up dreaming about some of Jobs & co.'s creative processes -- no small feat since I'm not an engineer :)

Well, well
While the book is well written and from the reviews I have read the facts quite accurate that does not make me like the guy some more!

I dislike this type of guys who while very intelligent to not say genius have no social skills and would stomp on the first one and use he/she as a stepping stone ... and don't come think that he is alone in this manipulation game! The manipulators are among us!

This was excellent! Well written and very interesting! Learning about the early days of computing was fascinating, it is truly remarkable how far we really have come. I have an even deeper appreciation of Jobs and Apple now. I don't think much of modern computing would be what it is today without Jobs and Apple. And I know that the MP3 player market and tablet market definitely would not be what they are today without Jobs and Apple. Nor would even Pixar and by association the computer animated ...more

Well, a lot of the early stuff I was already familiar with through Wozniak's book "iWoz" and Hertzfeld's book "Revolution in the Valley", and a lot of the later stuff was familiar from press accounts. But it is great to have the whole arc of Steve's life in one single volume. And there are a great many details that I was not familiar with.

The book is well-written and easy to read, but it does seem rushed a bit, particularly toward the end. As has been noted elsewhere, the early part of the book
