this one is a "maybe"

So I open this up to start reading .... First thing I see is "Agent Orange lyrics used by permission." oh hello! book! You must be awesome if you contain even a smidge of AO! Now I'm humming "secret AYYgent man! Secret AYYYYYgent man! We've given you a number ... And taken away your name!"

My excitement was short lived. I knew this was a YA book, but I didn't expect the writing level to be reminiscent of Cowgirl Kate and Cocoa Cowgirl Kate and Cocoa by Erica Silverman ...more

Gone, an Addicted to YA Book of the Month for February 2014, is the first in a series about a community of kids struggling to survive after everyone over the age of 15 disappears. The Lord of the Flies dramatics are complicated by some I am Four style intrigue and some X-men-esque action. Despite feeling like a lot of things I've read before, I still found Gone hard to put down and will definitely be continuing the series. ...more
