The interplay between George and Lennie really gets to the heart of many conflicts in relationships between friends.
*I just re-reread this with my 9 HN classes. Every time I read it I am more gobsmacked by how perfectly crafted this novel is - Steinbeck connects everything together so well.

Somehow I've managed to make it to my third decade without reading this, and I'm glad I've rectified the oversight. A somber tale for sure, but challenges the notion that life arranges itself in tidy packets without forcing awful choices.
