So many reluctant teenagers are assigned to read this book that it has become something of a rite de passage, but that should not overshadow its status as one of the great American tragic novels.
i feel like i already read this book once. or maybe i saw the movie. everything just seemed vaguely familiar as i was reading it. anyway, i really like steinbeck's characters, and i don't want to give anything away, but i really liked the ending.

I loved this book, have read it a few times and seen the movie. It is a short read and still laugh at scenes in this book.
