In the second book of the Great War trilogy, wealthy Isabelle Lassone is smuggled back into Belgium in an attempt to help family friends escape into neutral Holland. Absurd drivel. The WWI background might be of interest to some who know little about it, but hackneyed characters, dialogue and exposition made it unreadable to this WWI buff.
