3.75 stars. I didn't love this one but I am really enjoying this series. I'm thinking the Jacobite storyline is coming to an end which will be a good thing. Really enjoying spending time with these characters. I'm glad that the rest of the series will be first reads for me. Looking forward to that!

What a totally delightful read, this! I think it might be one of my favorite McCall Smith books so far. I thought that the M. Kundera classic title was actually written by Alexander McCall Smith when I took this out of the library. I think I may have seen the more famous movie (Being not Scones). Is it set in Czechoslovakia or somewhere Eastern Bloc? Anyways, this is no doubt lighter reading.
