This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers. To view it, click here. Overall, this book was pretty good. Pai Kit Fai is not Chinese (I found out in the postscript), but she has been living and studying in the Far East for many years.

The story is interesing. I view it as a cross between a Sidney Sheldon novel and Shogun. The former because the book features strong, independent women who are smart, beautiful and fortunate enough to find nice, loving men who treat them well and do their best to protect them.
