I have spent the last few weeks immersed in a world created by Carlos Ruiz Zafon. The Prisoner of Heaven is the third book in the Cemetery of Forgotten Books series. As I write this I am listening to music from the book that Zafon has on his website, it is so beautiful and calming that you should listen to it while you read my book review.

I read The Shadow of the Wind and The Angel's Game four years ago, and I think I would have enjoyed this book more if I could remember them - especially The Angel's Game. But still, I enjoyed it enough to read it in one sitt ...more

Somewhat less engrossing than previous entries in the series, but Zafon's homage to Dumas is particularly well done. I just wish the overall story had been a little more fleshed out, as this seems a bit thin. ...more
