What Members Thought
One of my favorite works in all of Russian literature. My favorite story from the collection is "Bezhin Lea" (hope I've spelled that correctly). It's a wonderfully lyrical evocation of childhood and the connection we have to nature. Another remarkable story concerns a singing contest, in which Turgenev shows his strengths as a master portraitist.
