What Members Thought
I wanted to make a longer review, but due to lack of time, I will shorten it to this: It is hard to like very much a novel in which you don't like the characters, especially the protagonist. It is not that he (Cipriano Salcedo) was antipathetic, just that he could not gain my sympathy. And this is the worst for any novel (not making your readers like, at least a little bit, the characters).
