I was bored by this very early on. I carried on reading, hoping that something spectacular was going to happen in this overlong book. Needless to say, only a 100 pages in, I knew I shouldn't finish this rather boring novel. Sadly I did finish i; all damn 650 pages of it!
I didn't feel any particular pull towards any of the characters - most of whom were vile and no redeeming features and felt that the book on the whole was very disjointed and overly descriptive in places. I would not recommend. ...more
