Toni Morrison can certainly "do" language. One of the most lyrical books which deals with brutal subjects I have ever read and for such a short book, her characters are incredibly rich.
When she died last year I was embarrassed that I had not read any of her books so I was determined to read at least one before the year ended. I will miss her voice but I'm sure I will savor her ways ...more
