What Members Thought
A novel that luxuriates a bit too much in fantastic, but unnecessary details. Plan to find yourself riveted and bored to tears in the same 4-page chapter. It seemed like Carey was telling and telling and telling the same things about his characters and when Oscar finally acted unpredictably in the final chapters, I didn't buy it. I would put this up there with "Never Let Me Go" as one of the most overrated books I've read.
