Despre acest autor drag mie nu cred că trebuie să vă spun prea multe, ci doar că este unul dintre scriitori clasici preferați de mine ce a lăsat posterității mai multe capodopere literare. Până acum am citit patru dintre romanele sale și cred că cel mai mult mi-a plăcut Amantul doamnei Chatterley, pe care am de gând să îl recitesc în viitorul apropiat.

I had to study Lawrence at university as part of my English degree .
Read many years ago . Going to 're read it and see if my opinion has changed.
My updated review :
Soooo.. he’s a brilliant writer but there are many things within the narrative that this time , I found disturbing and off putting .
Yes he was writing in a certain , culture , era and he had a certain respect for women . However I think , like many men , women scared him and he couldn’t admit this, even to himself.

Lawrence has an amazing ability to pull out the ebb and flow of relationships in his prose. I was most struck by this ability while reading this book -- the attachment and disengagement that permeates human relationship because ultimately we are all still stuck inside our own skin.
The book is not Lawrence at his best, but Lawrence has a unique voice that seems lost and is always a pleasure to re-visit.
