I enjoyed this - Wells is a good writer, and I liked a fair few of the fantastical elements. Some of the social commentary was, of course, dated; but not nearly as badly as you might expect from an author of the time. Overall, a good read.

Christopher was going to be reading this book so I thought I would read it as well. The first few pages took some getting used to, thanks to the old-fashioned writing style and vocabulary, but then the story drew me in. I love the unexpectedness of the path that Wells takes humans along in his version of the future.
