This is the first book written by H.G. Wells that I read and I read it on a whim. I enjoyed the movie so I thought I'd enjoy the book aswell. I liked Prendick's character even though Wells didn't create him with a lot of depth. I love the old school Sci-Fi type books which Wells had a part in fathering. I love the idea it brings forth and now I'm definately a fan. I can't wait to read his other books. ...more
