Daniel Tammet is an autistic savant with synthesia. He has Asperger's syndrome and he has an incredible ability for math and learning language. In this autobiography Daniel describes how each number he sees as a particular color and shape and when he is doing math in his head these shapes form patterns that show him the answer. Daniel was a loner for most of his childhood and it amazes me that he was able to come through that and now live independently with his partner Neil. Tammet's parents are ...more
