Lovely story!
What an amazing book. This story is gentle yet it powerful and full of many truths about life. Caught between Japan and China when they are at war in the late 1930's, Stephen, a young Chinese man who needs to be in Japan to recover from tuberculosis, finds peace and the healing he needs, but at the same time he realizes some very hard truths about life and especially about his companion, Matsu, and Matsu's friend, Sachi. This is definitely a good and satisfying read.
