I read this novel for the second time. I've always enjoyed Tracy Chevalier's easy style, the different themes and settings for her novels, and the research that clealy goes into them. Her characters are real and her story lines are engaging. ...more

sorry, didn't work for me.didn't like the heroine (self centered girl!), the ending (weak!), and some of the storyline. but will try another chevalier's, hopefully it will fit me better! ...more
