Moore excels at his social satire gouging every religious culture and accomplishes the task of separating the wheat from the tares in religious thought. What's wonderful about this one is the deft and surprising way that Moore gives his potentially blasphemous story a great sensitivity and humanity, and his humor prompts much genuine laughter along the way.
