What Members Thought
Entertaining, fast paced, reminiscent of The Da Vinci Code, but just a tad TOO long (over 500 pages).
A moderately interesting story marred by strange style choices (particularly the jarringly present-tense prologue) and a poor ending that shoots for profound and lands at trite. Could have benefited from more polishing in the editing phase, I think.
The necessary research was obviously done so that's a plus. The book was just so boring. I couldn't care less what happens to the characters or do they find what they need. Everything was completely 2-dimensional and the writing was poor.

Found it took a long time because of flitting between the time periods but it was enjoyable throughout.
