What Members Thought
I gave this a reread decade later and still find it interesting. While the book has not changed, I have, and so I gained a few more details I don’t think i noted in my youth. Both of my kids have now read this also, so various references that come up in modern times make more sense now. But some things don’t change and looking at this book with more political background as well as interest in current events made this a much more fascinating read as an adult.
Oh could I but learn WHY this book is still being assigned as a reading exercise for middle school students.
the true nature of people. people they ain't no good, i think that's well understood
