Sixth read:
I’m rereading this series with my husband. Some laughter and some tears in this one, as you would expect from AMS, a man who knows my soul, while being a man I’ve never met. I love these books. If you ever need wise, witty, encouraging words, AMS is a really good place to go. I love you, AMS! You are the cure for what ails the world. Thank you for your wonderful work.

Mma Ramotswe is contacted by a woman who is sure she's adopted who wants to find her biological family. Mma Makutsi has trauma with a new bed. Mr. JLB Matekoni thinks there might be a cure for his adopted daughter who is in a wheelchair. Not much happens in these books. They are more about the main characters and Botswana than they are any sort of mystery. I've listened to most of the books but I read this one. I prefer the audiobook versions. After the rather gory and violent books I have been reading lately, a return to the ever so zen and kind Mma Ramotswe, and the slow, sweet pace of life in Botswana, this book just felt like a hug from a friend.
05/30/08 purchased from Walden Books (Madison Square Mall -- Huntsville)
