So it took me several weeks to read this colossal novel by the great Haruki Murakami. I finished at one this morning. In order for me to vent about what bothered me about this book, I would have to go into specifics regarding the last hundred pages or so. I won't do that.

Interesting characters and plot. About memories, past lives, symbols, dreams. Head felt pretty swimmy through the whole thing: not confused, just floating and odd. Densely packed with literary and philosophical references: probably missed out on many of them. Good and interesting overall--will recommend it to some people, first, my dad.
